Time Stock Farm
2009 Summer Horse Camps

One of the all-time great summer experiences for kids is horseback riding. It's one of those things they dream about and in later life look back on fondly. Imagine peaceful summer mornings spent not only riding horses, but learning about them too. All this while enjoying nature's beautiful surroundings in a small-group horse camp.

Time Stock Farm invites you to attend one or more of our annual Summer Horse Camps.

We present a number of sessions throughout the summer. All are carefully designed to meet the needs of our students at every level of skill and experience.

New this year is an offer to parents who are considering a horse for their very young rider. Here you will be introduced in a one day workshop to the essentials of horse ownership. Then plan on helping your child through the five days of his/her horse camp.

New this year also is the expanded horse care session which will help riders to decide on specific interests they may wish to persue.

We offer camps that teach not only riding but feeding, maintenance and grooming as well. We provide individual and group activities, such as jumping and polo, to develop and enhance riding skills.

Our lesson horses are thoroughly experienced, well-mannered, and suitable for riders of all levels.

Class sizes are limited to 10 students each: Make your reservations early!
For more information and phone reservations, contact Judy Gerhard at (530) 878-1844.

Come prepared to work outdoors with a horse -- learn how to ride and care for them. A break time is provided each day for drinks and snacks. Camp concludes with a show and potluck BBQ for family and friends.

For your comfort and safety: Long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, and hard hats are required. We have riding helmets to loan.

Judy Gerhard, owner and instructor, has over 50 years' experience in riding instruction, both english and western. She raised and showed arabian horses for over 20 years, she has been a part of riding clubs, drill teams, parades (including seven years in the Tournament of Roses), 4-H, endurance riding, trail riding, horse training, and therapeutic riding instruction. These horse camps for children have been offered for over 15 years, and her classes stress both the enjoyment and the responsibility of riding.
